The Worcester Telegram & Gazette editorial page got it right today, calling out the Patrick-Murray Administration for its fuzzy math in regard to how many jobs the stimulus money has created in Massachusetts. The T & G, Tim Murray’s hometown paper, said, “Closer inspection shows just how suspect the accounting about such claims of job creation and retention continue to be.”
The editorial goes on to say, “The path to recovery lies in government getting out of the way, leaving more investment capital for the private sector, and backing away from constant threats to impose new taxes and mandates on an economy striving to be free.” This is great advice to live by and the people of Massachusetts would appreciate it if Governor Patrick and Lieutenant Governor Murray would use this editorial as a stepping stone for sound fiscal policy.
