BOSTON—House Minority Leader Bradley H. Jones, Jr. issued the following statement after reading Lieutenant Governor Tim Murray’s ill-advised statements in today’s Boston Herald.
Today, I am calling on Governor Deval Patrick to show true leadership and condemn Lieutenant Governor Tim Murray’s nasty barrage on Charlie Baker’s three young children.
I am growing tired of Murray’s ill-advised, negative campaign tactics. What’s particularly disheartening is it appears Murray spends more time launching attacks on his opponents than he does acting as second in command of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
It’s laughable that Tim Murray is going after Charlie Baker while Deval Patrick returns comfortably every night to one of his multi-million dollar mansions all while raising taxes on the middle class and spending Massachusetts into the ground.
Instead of attacking Charlie Baker for his fear of his children’s future in the Bay State, the Patrick-Murray Administration should focus on the campaign promises they made nearly four years ago; cutting property taxes, creating 100,000 new jobs and adding 1,000 new police to our streets.
